Visiting?

First Presbyterian Church Haines City is a community of diverse ages, stages, situations and stories.  We welcome all who pass through our doors.  It is our hope that, in learning more about the ministry of our church and listening to the messages preached, you will draw closer to a deeper knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Below are some answers to frequently asked questions about our location, theology, and opportunities to help you get a feel for FPC. We hope to see you on Sunday!

Location

How do I find you?

FPC is located at 104 Scenic Highway (Rte. 544) in Haines City….one mile east of I-27 (click here for directions & a map).

When should I plan to arrive?

We recommend arriving approximately 15 minutes prior to the service start time. This should allow amply time to park your car, walk to the sanctuary and find a seat.

What should I wear?

We’re pretty casual, and want you to feel at home. Please dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable! Hey, we are located in the Fun Capital of the world.

Is the church handicapped accessible?

In a word, yes. There are no steps required for accessing the main floor of our sanctuary. Once inside, meeting rooms and offices are all located on the same level. Handicap parking is available in the parking area at the rear of the church, closest to the sanctuary door.

Theology

What type of Presbyterian church are you?

We are part of the Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians (ECO). We were first incorporated in 1925. For many years we worshiped on Oak Avenue in Haines City. In 2003 we moved to our 22 acre campus located on 544.

What kind of worship will there be?

Our aim is to create an environment for celebration, adoration, and surrender to God. The choir, instruments, soloists, worship leaders, worship band, traditional hymns and contemporary music work together to magnify our Lord Jesus Christ.

We have three services on Sunday morning:

8:15 am in the sanctuary  - Traditional Service

This service incorporates traditional elements while sharing the same music and message and community as the 11:00 am service.

9:45 am in the Living Room - Contemporary

This service, with a rock-inspired praise band and modern music, is geared toward those for whom church has always been intimidating.

11:00 am in the sanctuary - Blended

This service offers, on any given Sunday, the choir, the bell choir, orchestra, soloists and quartets. Songs are a combination of traditional hymns, choral anthems, and contemporary praise songs.

Communion is served the first Sunday of the month at all services.

What is the preaching/teaching like?

Conversational, solid, heartfelt, Bible teaching... We try to apply the truths of Scripture to the realities of life. (Click here to hear some recent sermons)
