Yourself, a Bible, if you have one, an open heart, family and friends. We don't ask for much.
First, you will not be asked to stand and introduce yourself to the congregation. We do offer a short period of meet-and-greet time at the beginning of the services to allow those sitting near you to welcome you to FPC. At the end of the 8:15 and 11 AM services, we will take a moment to join hands as we sing the response to the benediction.
Sunday Morning Opportunities...
Nursery is provided for children 0-6 years old beginning at 7:45 AM during our Sunday services. Our nursery staff have been background checked and CPR certified. We have a inside bathroom and changing station so there will be no reason to leave the room. Only our screened nursery staff will be allowed in the nursery area. We have two nursery staff available every time our nursery is open.
Kids Kingdom Praise and Worship is provided for children 3-12 years old in our Kids Kingdom area during our 11:00 contemporary service. During this time we have a large group where we have a kid friendly church service with lots of music and interaction. The last 15 minutes of this time we break off into small groups based on age to have a deeper discussion with our Sunday School Teachers. Two teachers are always in every small group.
Children's Life group is provided for children 6-12 in our Kids Kingdom area at 9:15AM. (Nursery is provided 0-6 yrs. at this time.) During this time we have a curriculum based Bible study for this age group. After the Bible Study we play games and make crafts that tie in what we just learned.
Youth (children over 12) are encouraged to sit with their parents during our 11:00 contemporary service. Youth Bible Study (Life Group) is from 10-10:45 AM in the Youth Room. This is an opportunity for our youth to better understand the message just heard in the service and then discuss the sermon at their level.
We offer numerous Adult Sunday School Classes on Sunday mornings at 9:30. Please stop by our hospitality desk for help selecting a class and its location.
We offer coffee and fellowship time before and after our Sunday services. This is a chance to mingle, get questions answered at our hospitality desk, and meet new friends.
We are honored to have you worship with us as our guest. Please do not feel obligated when the offering basket is passed. You will often see people pass the basket without contributing, since many of our members give monthly or online.
We serve communion at all worship services the first Sunday of every month. Communion is served in the pews from plates passed down the rows. This is a personal time of inward reflection. If you feel uncomfortable with participating in communion, no one will notice whether you take the elements or just pass the plate.
At FPC, we believe that the communion table is the Lord’s Table, open to all who have or who seek faith in God in the way of Christ. As we celebrate the Lord’s table, we remember that He is the host and we are his guests. He welcomes everyone to come and eat and be nourished, fed and forgiven. We invite everyone who believes in the saving power of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ to join us.
