Keeping Our Kids Safe

Families who attend worship are, of course, welcome to bring children to worship with them or to utilize the age-appropriate options below.  We encourage all families to thoughtfully consider what is best for your family.  Because your family’s health, safety, and well-being are important to us, you will see some changes in the way that we conduct worship, youth meetings, and children’s ministries.  Some of these changes are temporary during this season, while other changes are best practices that we will continue for the foreseeable future.

we will offer:

~ Nursery – 8:15 AM to 12 noon (infants and toddlers)

~ Kids’ Kingdom – 9:45 AM to 11:00 AM (check-in 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM)

~ Children’s Life Group – 11:00 AM to 12 noon (check-in 10:45 AM to 11:15 AM)

~ Youth Life Group – 11:00 AM to 12 noon (6th to 12th grade, 11-18 years old)


Some Changes in Sunday Programs for Children and Youth:

~ At check-in, there will be a designated area to line up.  Families should follow the footprints and practice social distancing.  During the check-in process, we will ask parents some questions about COVID-19 symptoms and take each child’s temperature before checking them in.

COVID-19 Questions:

Your child or youth will not be permitted into the Nursery, Kids Kingdom area, or Youth Room if you answer “yes” to any of these questions:

o    Has any member of my household showing any flu-like symptoms?

o    Has any member of my household not been feeling well?

o    Has any member of my household been exposed to someone with symptoms or who has tested positive for COVID-19?

o    Has any member of my household traveled internationally in the last two weeks?

o    Has any member of my household had a fever of 100.4 or higher in the past 14 days?

o    Is there any medical reason why I believe my child should not be around others?

~ We will ask children to wash their hands with soap and water upon entering the Kids Kingdom area.

~ For those who arrive without a face mask, we will be distributing age-appropriate face masks (while supplies last) and asking children over age five to wear a mask. The purpose is threefold: to protect your children, to protect other families, and to provide children with an opportunity to demonstrate care and compassion for the welfare of others. (Some families may have family members with compromised immune systems who still wish to be around others on Sundays.)

~ We will utilize available space to maintain social distancing while inside the building.  We will provide lessons for children and youths outside where weather and conditions permit.

~ We are in the process of expanding the Nursery space to enable us to provide greater distance between infants and toddlers.

~ We will provide individually prepackaged snacks and drinks to children and youths.

~ We have established new procedures to sanitize the Nursery, Kids Kingdom area, and Youth Room each week.


An inherent risk of exposure to Covid-19 exists in any public place where people are present. Covid-19 is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death.  According to the CDC, people with underlying medical conditions are especially vulnerable.  Please make decisions regarding Sunday mornings that you believe are best for your family.
