Jim and Sue Christie
Dear Family and Friends,
We thank God for all of you, for surely your prayers and support have had a great impact in the Kingdom of God. Our rewards are your rewards; our blessings are your blessings!
God is accomplishing great things in us, around us, and through us in this new ministry. Jim has been traveling every other week to the Bible schools in Uganda and Lodwar, Kenya. Sue will join him in Lodwar starting in July. We thank God for every opportunity he gives us to minister together. In the meantime, Sue is revising the curriculum into proper outline format and editing grammar. Soon enough, we will be presenting the material to the Kenya government for full accreditation so that we may also offer a university level degree program.
Outside of the Bible schools, we have had several other ministry opportunities through the FCF churches in our area. Jim has spoken in Eldoret, Kamwega, (a small village on the other side of the Nandi forest...interesting drive) and Lodwar (northern Kenya). Sue has also spoken in Eldoret. Next month we will be in Kapsabet (small town about 1-2 hours away). We bless the name of the Lord for every chance to share the gospel and encourage the churches here. Our first crusade is already scheduled for September in Uganda. The pastors that are being trained there will be able to shepherd the new believers. God is good!
Please continue to pray for the provision to continue traveling to the Bible schools and local churches. We are believing for a truck for better access into the remote places as well as for carrying the equipment that will be needed at crusades.
We will be stateside this year starting in March through the end of May. We hope to connect with as many of you as possible.
Serving the One as one,
Jim and Sue Christie
Across the Nations
Jim and Sue Christie are missionaries serving at Faith Christian Fellowship in Eldoret, Kenya. Having previously served at Kings Kids Village in Naiorbi, Jim and Sue felt a stirring in their hearts that God was bringing change to their lives. In January, 2018, they moved to Eldoret, Kenya, to serve with Faith Christian Fellowship in specialty Bible schools, training pastors and leaders. These schools meet about 4 days per month for instruction and testing. After one year, if grades, class attendance, and participation are at a qualifying level, the students are given an internationally recognized diploma. The mass majority of the pastors must work to provide for their families, so the school is brought to them. As pastors are trained, the Christies hope to hold outdoor evangelistic crusades, placing precious souls in the churches of the pastors they have helped to train.
